The Advanced Reading Deck contains 114 cards (3 x 5 inches each) made up of 3 sets of cards that help aid with literacy and phonics instruction. One set shows the 68 symbols (single letters and letter clusters) that recur most regularly in English. These cards are used daily to evoke students' accurate visual recognition and naming of the symbols. The second set of cards consists of regularly recurring, non-phonetic final syllables with constant pronunciation and spelling. The last set, "Situation Cards", provide practice with the two sounds of "c" and "g".
